  • If they're still LLMs? Nothing much changes.

  • LLMs don't have reasoning nor internal logic. If you take a look at the "thinking" feature AIs like Gemini introduced, this becomes even more obvious. In order to have the most basic type of analysis possible, it must hallucinate an entire context window to force the language model to reach a specific conclusion.

There's zero world in which LLMs replace humans. They might, temporarily, be convincing enough to trick a few CEOs... But that period of time won't last long.

Now, a human being assisted by AI on Microsoft Word or their Python IDE, sure.

  • Just ask Grok to fix the servers, AI is so much better than humans right?

  • Yep, and they're still quite troublesome. But installing Nvidia drivers is not the only problematic aspect of an immutable distro, so it doesn't matter at all if Bazzite makes it easy as far as my point goes.

  • The fact it's now super easy to generate content and copy others means people won't be motivated to create many original pieces.

Which in turn means less material for the AI to train and copy, and at some point, it will become obvious it's recycling variations of the same initial training set.

One example where this is not just a theoretical: SEO people quickly figured out they could ask AI to edit an article and it would rank better for all keywords selected, so they did. But the AI is just mixing snippets from other sources with their own quirky language. So now everyone's pages look the same, and provide no original material, so they are back to ranking lower because they're all fighting with the same amount of information.

  • No, we can block just conservative media, thanks.

  • Hur Durr Valve knows something you don't

Here's Valve explicitly claiming the same as I did

Hur I struck a nerve time to stop the conversation

    Hahaha sure buddy

  • The website literally states this image is meant for the Steam Deck and Legion Go S, not other random devices.

But sure, go on, you must know something Valve doesn't, as you so eloquently put it.

  • Clearly it was worth valve’s time and attention, so my guess is they know something you don’t lol

Every manufacturer provides a firmware reset image or tool. It's not some mystery.

But sure, get weirdly offended because somebody pointed out the obvious lol

  • Whenever we suggest starting to test sperm for known genetics conditions, somebody starts screaming eugenics, which then halts the debate and we end up not testing for things we absolutely can test for.

  • They'll gladly take that

Their customers will take that. There's no world Apple eats a 25% cost rather than simply increasing their prices.

  • Oh tell me your joking, this profoundly ruins he and every single one of his roles forever for me

  • Most users aren't going to install a new OS, especially on a handheld.

The third party devices coming out with SteamOS already installed are significantly more interesting than this .iso.

  • If you live in a shit hole like the US, yes.

    It's totally illegal over here.

  • AMD CPU improvements like INVLPGB for broadcast TLB invalidation, Zen 5 load latency filtering with perf, AMD P-State driver improvements, initial support for the AMD Versal NET SoC, and more.

On the Intel side is early work on the kernel-side preparations for Advanced Performance Extensions (APX) and continuing to enhance the Trust Domain Extensions (TDX) support.

  • Exactly - the platform owner usually can do everything. Can a third party crawler? I don't know

  • Yes, I'm talking about AAA titles - not Indies.

This is where I point out reading comprehension and not assuming your own conclusions summarise somebody else's argument are helpful.

  • an impossible encounter

That's kinda the point of Souls games though. The encounter isn't impossible, and once your skills and attitude change, you get through it - even though the encounter itself didn't change a bit.

  • Linux @lemmy.world

I just discovered drop down terminals and I love them
