Weakening encryption, or access to it, in any way, shape or form should be seen as a violation of human rights, democracy, and national security — a crime against humanity — resulting in lifelong imprisonment.
This is also why the whole state of Israel is compromised and fascists like Bibi get elected. Through mandatory conscription, and the whole occupation/genocide being older than the age of retirement, they've essentially propagandised and desensitised a majority of the population to support these types of war crimes to achieve their goals.

Even while they were drafting the universal declaration of human rights after WW2, which included self-determination (democracy), France (backed by the US) were trying to militarily reassert colonial control over south east Asia and Africa, same with the UK and their control of HK, etc.
They were so prejudiced they couldn't even grant "human rights" to non-whites (like 80% of all living humans).
