  • I don't remember this part of Deltarune

  • Don't worry, I get it. That's partly why I commented here. Ive been kinda hoping someone would chime in and tell me about a browser that can block ads and sync with your phone without being, you know, chromium.

  • Brave. It blocks all the ads and syncs with my phone. That's all I want. I like using Librewolf more (with uBlock Origin) but it doesnt sync with my phone so I can't really use it as a daily driver

  • Gonna chime in here and agree that its because its because I never see anyone else's or mine, even on the website

  • Gonma be honest, I love the Pictionary theme

  • Release me, mortal! I am Stormageddon the conqueror of worlds! Kneel before me or be slain!

  • SHHHH, Y'ALL ARE TOO LOUD! CAN'T YOU SEE SHE'S SLEEPING?

  • I don't think most pronouns have the first part, unless youre talking about transphobes. And in order for it to have that effect they have to say it like a slur. Hearing a person or animal being called "it" is one of the few times a normal, non-slur word gets me into momma bear mode in half a second flat.

But totally agree, ive met a few people who prefer it/its pronouns and they are all pretty great. One of them was otherkin and identified as a bee, which was fun. Great people.

  • Might be a midwest america thing. I have been thinking about this since posting it, and I think i see this the most prominently with hunters talking about "how pretty she is" when drscribing the deer they just killed.

  • I don't know a single person who uses "it" for animals. My parents just project their own pronouns onto the animal when they don't know what to call them, and my friends and I spend about 5 minutes trying to figure out the gender expression of This Random Animal We Saw when we are talking about them.

I think plants would be a better candidate, but my friends usually use male pronouns for trees (due to current events) and female pronouns for flowers.

  • I read this as Romanians and was very confused

  • That's the Mozilla logo

  • This seems almost sane to me. I think its a very normal experience when watching stuff from your childhood that Adult You isnt cool with at all. I'm sure we've all had the experience of watching a movie you loved as a kid when you stumble upon the Racism Olympics Scene, e.g. the asian foreign exchange student in Sixteen Candles, or the blackface fish that appears during Under the Sea in the Little Mermaid. As for myself, I can't stand plots where the entire plot revolves about our main character refusing to communicate or self-sabotaging for the entire movie, and it would be nice to get a heads-up about that going in even if thats not "triggering".

I think this is a rare Hexbear W, and I would be happy if this was more normal.

  • They all are so cute I want to hug them

  • No, I have both and I can tell you for sure that the hyperfocus from my autism and the hyperfocus from the ADHD are very different experiences. The ADHD hyperfocus feels more like addiction, in a sense, since it feels like I sink into the bullshit task like mud and I can't pull myself back out without help. And it's never actually helpful. The autism hyperfocus I can sometimes engage on purpose, and it's more related to my enthusiasm for the task.

The thing that autistic people have that I think can be mistaken for adhd is the difficulty in switching tasks without warning. This must be a new thing, tbh. When I was a kid, I got called the r word a lot for not being able to switch tasks as fast as the people I was with. This isn't focus, it's an aversion to the inconvenience of being unable to complete a task.

  • Nah this is purely a malfunction in the rewards and punishment functions of the brain that keeps you motivated. Autistic people don't have any problem with motivation unless they have some other diagnosis. If there is a connection, it would be with something like depression or RADS.
