The Japanese have been wearing tabi socks for hundreds of years. It's infuriating that it hasn't caught on here especially considering the advantages that sandals bring in a world that will continue to get hotter for the rest of our lives.
I... am going to stick with my interpretation.
Ohh so it's actually a lot more clever than I thought. Animals giving birth to demonic human children is a common trope, like The Omen.
I have no idea what this means but it made me giggle maniacally.
You have a point. I didn't really phrase that in a way that would be compatible with a 5 year old. In my defense, it says "like I'm 5" so maybe I'm allowed a little wiggle room.
These are fabulous! They're even (hopefully) inspiring me to get back into non-objective art, which I haven't done in years.
Fascism cannot function without scapegoats, and trans people are the smallest minority group. Once they normalize persecuting the smallest group, they move up to the next group which is slightly larger than the previous. It's the Nazi playbook.
It looks like autistic people are next, based on RFK's bullshit.
Ohhhh this is fabulous. This could've been written yesterday, or 50 years ago... and it would still be as relevant as it was on release.
Ooof I made myself sad.
... no where in this article or even in the video does it say who the actor is. Weird.
I really like Greta. Her speech in that clip came off as extremely earnest.
Edit: I found it elsewhere. It's Liam Cunningham. The onion knight was well cast!
My Fitbit says my fast walking speed is 17 minute miles(around 3.5 mph), so you've got me beat by a tiny bit. And I'm lanky with long legs, and I hike a lot. You've definitely got hustle.
4 mph is fast for walking. You must have superb legs.
And then he hits on your Mom, and tries to trick her into reaching into his pocket. It doesn't work because his creepy shit only worked on the women who were required to interact with him for their careers.
We just gotten?
Makes sense. Israel is certainly significantly worse than Hamas, and Hamas only exists as a reaction to the crimes of Israel. Saying "both sides" sounds like one is arguing that their crimes are equal. They're not even close.
But I look at the actions of Hamas on October 7 and I struggle to see how they're doing anything other than making everything worse. I don't know what they should be doing, but what they have done just isn't it.
I was banned from an .ml instance for criticizing both Hamas and Israel. You're not allowed to say anything that goes against the narrative in .ml. They act just like the authoritarian states they jerk off to.
I consider myself a socialist but shit like this is an absolute deal breaker. Both Hamas and Israel have fucked over the Palestinian people, as far as I can tell. I'm completely open to the possibility that Hamas is a good organization but I have yet to see any evidence of that.
It's funny that this post and this comment have this very specific timing in my life. Just yesterday I had a realization that I need to start questioning my thoughts with closer scrutiny. I knew about my intrusive thoughts and am actively dealing with those, but once you catch on to them they become quite blatant.
The really tricky thoughts are the subtle bullying, the kind that gruadually erode your self esteem. In my case I have a bully in my brain that closely resembles the bullies I dealt with growing up. Meditative practices teach us to observe our thoughts and let them pass without giving them a reaction. This method can also be used when we're not actively meditating.
You'll have a few minutes to admire their cute little ears as they eat you while you're still alive. Silver lining!
